WJ Co. Inc. was founded in 1971 by Wilber Johnson who saw a need for supplying roofing materials in our tri-state area. At that time, no one within 200 miles was supplying the roofing contractor and builder all the roofing materials needed for commercial as well as residential applications. He also helped in forming the Local Roofers Union, and held seminars on all the latest materials. With his vision, he was first in filling this need and thereby able to build a solid foundation for this company.
WJ Co. Inc. has changed owners twice since it’s founding but continues to adapt with the changing times and products. We no longer simply sell kegs of asphalt and merely two colors of shingles, but now stock over 20 of the most popular colors as well as a whole gamut of commercial as well as residential roofing products. WJ Co. Inc. has always been a close network of family and friends who truly care about people’s roofing needs and assisting their customer’s in meeting that need. We do not want people to make poor and costly decisions concerning roof repairs or replacements, but rather wish to assist them in knowing their options and making the best decision for the job.
